At Con -- Be Back Soon
Today -- Who's Line is it Anyway is halarious as always. I signed up for tomorrow. Also, there is actually a dealer with yaoi doujinshis! Man I wished I had money to burn. Got Elf a "Saw" movie pack including t-shirt, cards, and mini-dvd promo trailer. Very cool, except I wished the shirt had the severed limb like the posters do. My friend from Ft. Lauderdale whom I met last year is here and it's amazingly nice to see him again. Such a pretty pretty boy. We watched the Friday Night Wrestling for a while. Some actually great performers, but also some crapola. Mwha. Emerald Rose is still the coolest fucking Celtic band ever.

Geeks, Goths, and other Social Misfits
DragonCon 2004 pre-registration starts later today... (Thursday) I'll be popping in and out of my home so I will not be updating the site like a good boy as much as you want. But don't worry, I'll be back with loads of stories, maybe some pictures, and definately some more Gravitation Remix.
Be nice to each other while I'm gone.

Why not close another Atlanta nightclub?
The scruffy, tri-level North Avenue dance club and music venue where a generation of twentysomething Atlantans learned to mosh, swing dance and apply a cat-o'-nine-tail so as not to leave a mark is being sold. Co-owner Dean Riopelle confirms that he and his partners are close to inking a deal -- possibly by the time you read this -- to sell the Masquerade site, which could be redeveloped as condos or a mixed-use project.
One of the longest-running success stories in the history of the city's volatile nightclub industry, the Masquerade will celebrate its 15th anniversary on Labor Day. After that milestone, the club's days are numbered, with the Masquerade going the way of its recently departed sister club, the S&M-themed Chamber. Riopelle says both clubs (or at least variations of them) will be reopened -- in the unlikely locales of Underground Atlanta and somewhere in the northern suburbs.
(creative loafing is where this story came from, and they got more.)

Stand back there's yet ANOTHER hurricane coming through.
MIAMI, Florida (AP) -- Thousands of people were told Wednesday to get ready to evacuate as powerful Hurricane Frances crept closer to Florida just weeks after Hurricane Charley's rampage.
It would be the worst double hurricane strike on one state in at least a century.
"I can't emphasize enough how powerful this is. If there's something out there that's going to weaken it, we haven't seen it," National Hurricane Center director Max Mayfield said.
Frances was nearing the Bahamas with steady strength, but it was expected to fluctuate in intensity and could become a Category 5 storm with top sustained winds of 156 mph or higher, forecasters said. The storm could hit anywhere from South Florida to South Carolina as early as late Friday.
Hurricane-force winds extended up to about 80 miles from Frances' center, making it about twice the width of Charley and increasing the possibility for damage, forecasters said.
"The lessons of these storms are that all the science in the world and all the technology in the world isn't going to be able to pinpoint exactly where the storm goes," Gov. Jeb Bush cautioned.
Records from the last century show no two Category 4 storms with winds of 131-155 mph hitting a state within weeks of each other, hurricane center meteorologist Rick Knabb said.

Gravitation September
Pixiesticks.org for the past few years has given you the absolute bestest yaoi we could find on the net. We've featured special Yaoi Boi Weeks and now we're ready to completely blow you away.
But first...
Get familiar with the Gravitation boys.
Find out your semes and ukes and think of what loverly positions you'd love to see them in because later on tonight, I'm going to post some of the Gravitation Remix Volume 1 and you're going to absolutely ADORE it. The bestest part? Well, besides being translated into English and containing actual yaoi content, it was created by the same artists who started this Gravitation buisness. That's right, this ain't fan art, it's the real deal.
Find out why many consider Gravitation the absolute break-through yaoi and shounen ai work here in the US.

Mindless. Headless.
A Marietta man left a bar early Sunday morning, got into an accident that decapitated the passenger in his pickup truck, then drove several miles home and went to sleep -- leaving his pickup truck parked overnight in his driveway with the body of his friend hanging out the passenger side window, Cobb County police said.
Police said John Kemper Hutcherson, 21, of Marietta drove off a road soon after leaving a bar about midnight and hit a support wire to a telephone pole. The guide wire severed the head of his friend, Francis Daniel Brohm, 23, of Marietta.
Hutcherson then drove 12 miles to his home on Fox Hound Chase, where police found him Sunday morning in blood-splattered clothes.
"It's hard for one to imagine that you would drive [several] miles from a crash site to your home, turning in various directions, and yet not know what has happened to a passenger sitting next to you in your vehicle," said Cobb police Cpl. Dana Pierce.
A neighbor out on a stroll with his 1-year-old daughter called authorities after discovering the headless body in the parked truck about 8 a.m.
Later that morning, police found the severed head at the crash site on Canton Road.
Hutcherson was charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, failure to stop at an accident with death or injury and failure to maintain lanes.

Heretic isn't just a club, it's a way of life.
This past weekend I went hog wild at Heretic having wonderful nights out both Friday and Saturday. Both were filled with some dancing, some drinks, and lots of socializing. While no one I knew but me and Mik were there on Friday, it was actually a pretty intimate time. I always thought that the nightclub that featured so many horny and hungry gay men could only spell trouble for couples that were trying to establish something deeper, but I was proven wrong that night.
Saturday was all about the socalizing. Everyone was there and then some. Gary and I camped out on the porch for many of the hours, sharing fun stories, antidotes, and giving our theories on everything. And when there was dancing, it was actually a pretty intense affair considering the new DJ Derrick Shaw was showing us the best he had to offer.
But that was last weekend and it's time to move on to DragonCon. It's going to be a madhouse and I'm getting prepared for it all. My dear friend from Ft. Lauderdale is arriving soon and we're just gonna make the Labor Day weekend a big huge event that even a Wookie couldn't handle.
Unfortunately for you all, this means that I won't be around to update as much as you'd like. No, I'm not going to completely abandon Pixiesticks.org, in fact, I'll be posting reports, big name stories, and also I believe we have Gravitation Remix to do, right?
So keep joining me for the bestest we got, because September is gonna be HUGE.

You make me sick.
If you saw Baby Geniuses 2: Superbabies this weekend and caused the film to have a 3.3 million dollar take, YOU SUCK. You make me very disappointed in you. How could you even dream of watching this unwanted sequel to a very horrible movie?
Then again, if you saw Anacondas 2, you really aren't that much better now are you?
