Random stats from studies about teens just thrown out there that don't really prove anything.
US teens are having less sex, doing fewer drugs and smoking fewer cigarettes than those who grew up in the 1990s, a study released Wednesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has found.
They are also more likely to use condoms when they do have sex, wear a seat belt and avoid getting into a car with a driver who's been drinking, the national study of youth risk behavior found.
About 48 percent of high school students were no longer virgins in 2007, down from 54 percent in 1991.
Meanwhile, just 15 percent said they'd had four or more sexual partners, down from 19 percent in 1991.
And 62 percent of sexually active students said they'd used a condom the last time they had sex, up from 46 percent in 1991.
Some 35 percent of teens had at least one drink of alcohol in the month before they were surveyed in 2007, down from 42 percent in 1991.
Marijuana used has fallen to 20 percent of students from a peak of 27 percent in 1999 while methamphetamine use is down to four percent of teens surveyed in 2007 from 10 percent in 2001.
Nearly half as many students admitted to carrying some kind of weapon: 17 percent in 2007 compared with 33 percent in 1991.
But there has been little change in the number of students who said they'd stayed home from school because they felt unsafe either in the building or on the streets: seven percent in both 1991 and 2007.
Only 12 percent of students said they'd rarely or never worn a seat belt in 2007, down from 35 percent in 1991. Just 27 percent said they'd gotten into a car with a driver who'd been drinking, down from 36 percent in 1991.
"We are pleased that more high school students today are doing things that will help them stay healthy and avoiding things that put their health in danger," said Howell Wechsler, director of CDC's Division of Adolescent and School Health.
"Unfortunately we are not seeing that same progress among Hispanic teens for certain risk factors."
While their has been a significant decrease in the number of black teens who'd had sex (66 percent in 2007 compared with 82 percent in 1991) and also among white teens (44 percent in 2007 compared with 50 percent in 1991) there was no change among Hispanic teens (52 percent in 2007 and 53 percent in 1991.)
"Hispanic students were more likely than either black students or white students to attempt suicide, use cocaine, heroin or ecstasy, ride with a driver who had been drinking alcohol, or go 24 hours or more without eating in an effort to lose weight," Wechsler said in a conference call with reporters.
"Hispanic students were also more likely than both black students and white students to say they did not go to school on occasion because of safety concerns, were offered or sold illegal drugs on school property or drank alcohol on school property."
A nationally representative sample of more than 14,000 students in grades nine to 12 were surveyed.Labels: alcohol, drugs, health news, sex, youth news

A long weekend underway.
Last night was the beginning of a long weekend for your faithful webmaster.
Friday night I spent at Heretic as per usual. The beats were okay, but I wasn't so much in the mood for dancing. I've been in the mood for sex. But I didn't quite manage that either. I did sell the remaining 2 copies of "Later, Skater" bringing my total sold to 16 in person and 7 online: 23 copies so far in all. That's a great start but I want more! Go check it out and see if a copy wouldn't fit nicely on your bookshelf.
Shinji was also there. We seem to have a odd connection now where I don't like him and hate how he's mean to me and yet I still make out with him. Very strange. I wished we'd fuck. It'd probably be way hot.
Started Saturday off with a terrible hangover, but ironically it didn't last long. That's very good since this afternoon I have the Asian Express Pool Party with DJ Kaze. Following that is DJ Eddie Baez at Heretic. Last time he was there 900 people packed the house.
Not to be outdone with fun and sexiness, Sunday I'm going to visit Fang and Pirrip. They are the delicious artists you can see linked on the left hand side. Long time friends they are some of the most delicious boys I know. I'm looking forward to getting a closer look at some of their work, Korean BBQ, and breaking all of Fang's rules of his new decked out room. (I'm kidding, dude. I'll make sure to only use the bed for sleeping and sex.)
Thankfully I requested Monday off so I can recover what I hope to be a real memorable weekend. It'll be made even more so if I can manage to get a little boyxboy goin' on. I swear.Labels: alcohol, clubbing, DJ Kaze and Tatsuo, Fang, Heretic, holiday news, later skater, personal, shota, yaoi

Shota liek drinking and driving
HARTMAN, Ark. (AP) - An Arkansas preteen faces a drunken driving charge after he and a friend drank his parents' beer, "got liquored up" and crashed his stepfather's pickup truck, the Johnson County sheriff said.
Sheriff Jimmy Dorney said the 12-year-old boy and his 10-year-old friend drove off in the truck May 4 to find a girl they met at a rodeo. The boys made it about 10 miles before the 12-year-old lost control of the truck.
Dorney said the truck hit and jumped over a guardrail, sending it careening 50 feet down a steep hill into a forest.
Clark James, 46, who lives down the road from the crash site, said he answered the boys' banging at his front door with shotgun in hand about 2:30 a.m.
"I opened the door and the first thing (the 12-year-old) said to me was, 'I'm drunk and I had a wreck,'" James said. "I looked at him and I thought 'You're kind of young to be out drinking. And you sure shouldn't be driving.'"
Neither boy was seriously injured in the crash.
County prosecutor Bruce Wilson said that he will charge the 12-year- old boy with drunken driving and several other misdemeanor charges in district and juvenile court in Johnson County.
Wilson said the 12-year-old could face a variety of sanctions ranging from probation, to court-mandated community service and alcohol rehabilitation, to commitment to the state Department of Human Services Division of Youth Services.
Teresa Belew, executive director of the Arkansas chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, said the 12-year-old is the youngest person she's heard of facing a drunken-driving charge in the state.
James bets that both Johnson County boys are grounded for life.
"If not, then they should be," he said.Labels: alcohol, boys, crime drama, shota

Dad accidently buys shota an alcoholic lemonade Shit rediculously hits fan.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- An Ann Arbor couple's 7-year-old son ended up in foster care over Mike's Hard Lemonade.
Christopher Ratte, 47, a professor at University of Michigan, claims he accidentally gave his son, Leo, some of the alcoholic beverage at Comerica Park a few weeks ago. He said he didn't even know the alcoholic lemonade existed.
"I got a beer for myself and asked Leo if he wanted a lemonade because there is a sign that said, 'Mike's Lemonade,'" said Ratte.
He said he bought his son the drink at the beginning of the Tigers game and it wasn't until the ninth inning when a security guard noticed the bottle in Leo's hand.
The security guard asked Ratte if he knew it contained alcohol. He said he didn't and when he went to grab the bottle out of the child's hand, the security guard grabbed it first.
"It's just the simple fact that I didn’t know this brand and didn’t suspect some of the lemonade sold in ballparks are alcoholic."
A short time later, Ratte was being questioned by Detroit police at Children's Hospital, where the child was taken by ambulance.
The child said he was feeling a little nauseated, but showed no other symptoms of being intoxicated.
The security guard said the boy drank about 12 ounces of the hard lemonade, which is about 5 percent alcohol.
However, the child's bloodwork detected no trace of alcohol.
The child remained in foster care for two days before his mother, Claire Zimmerman, a U-M architecture professor, was able to take their son home as long as the father relocated to a hotel.
It was two more weeks before the father could move back home. The last hearing closed the case.
Ratte and his wife have filed a formal complaint with the Child Protective Services ombudsman's office stating they thought the treatment was excessive.
"Fine this guy bought this drink for his son. We need to look into it, but we don't need to take the most extreme measures," Ratte said in reference to Child Protective Services.
Ratte has apologized for his mistake.Labels: alcohol, crime drama, shota

Shota liek expensive alcohol
TOKYO - A teenager who posed as a wealthy playboy and went on a spending spree at a Japanese area nightclub has been arrested after trying to skip out on his bill.
Authorities say that over the course of six hours Wednesday night the 16 year old boy ordered two bottles of Dom Perignon champagne as well as 60 glasses of whiskey, beer and cocktails.
Police say when it was time to pay the bill, which had ballooned to $3,490, the boy told the staff he had no money.
A police spokesman says staff at the club were shocked to learn the boy's age because he seemed mature and experienced when ordering drinks and talking with hostesses.
The spokesman says the teen was dressed in casual clothes, but obviously successfully gave staff the impression of a rich young man.
Alcohol consumption is prohibited for those under 20 in Japan.Labels: alcohol, Japan, shota

Amateur party people.
New Years Eve is one of the only nights of the year where the non-professional party people try to have a good time. I'm all for sharing the love (and the dance floor) with them, but some of you bitches need to know when to say when about three cocktails before you fall into me. And I'm talking about actual girls. Seriously! You're coming into our gay nightclubs, all fine and well, but don't make complete asses of yourself. You're pissing me off!
On a more positive note: Kaze and Tatsuo's hospitality was so wonderful. I felt very loved while spending our third New Years Eve together as friends. I ventured to their home, which is very lovely. We watched part of the Japan 4 hour annual New Years Eve concert. Tat gave me more Japanese candy! Yum yum yum.
WETbar is where pretty much all of the girls taking spills with their drinks in hand took place. But it was also where we rung in the actual New Year. Who would have thought this time last year Britney Spears would have had made such a disgraceful fall only to be reclaimed as a diva the pretty boys all love singing and dancing to?
I didn't win any of the cash money drop, but then again, I wasn't really trying. And I wasn't dancing so much either. This was because there really wasn't much space to do anything other than perhaps survey the carnage.
A jaunt over to The Body Shop afterwards was filled with ALOT more fun than usual. While I've discussed at length how the after-hours club has simply not lived up to any expectations, last night they really put on a barn burner. Sure, it was mostly filled with the sketchiest of the bunch (partly because another after-hours party at Center Stage was shut down by the po-po), but it was the most fun I'd had there in a while. And perhaps for the first time, The Body Shop felt like a real club.
Today I've spent mostly resting. It was a really long final day of 2007, but I'm glad to say that I survived a particularly troublesome year.
I've also been slowly chipping away at editing down my winning entry for NaNoWriMo written back in November. It's a novel called "Later, Skater" and I'm really fond of it. Editing isn't a easy chore to say the least, but I really feel good about this project and hope it will be successful.
Glad to have each and every one of you to start off this new year. 2008 could end up being one of the most dramatic in the world we live in, but one thing will remain constant: Pixiesticks.org will still stand tall as one of the best places for yaoi and shota.
So stick around and Happy New Year.Labels: alcohol, boys, clubbing, DJ Kaze and Tatsuo, drugs, holiday news, Japan, NaNoWriMo, personal, pixiesticks, shota, The Body Shop, WETbar, works, yaoi

A long fought reward.
So after trying to pull pixiesticks.org out from the ashes the last three days, when I finally got the site running the way it's supposed to, I went out to reward myself with alcohol. Hey, I got my priorities people. I wanted booze and boys and in that order.
Heretic was moderately quiet likely due to both the holidays, I Am Legend being all legendary and shit, and it had rained all day. Thankfully Kaze and Tatsuo were there along with a lot of their aZn friends whom are delicious but sadly not desiring the pixie. That's one of the problems with being in a community for so long. Everyone already knows you and has made up their mind about you.
Still, it was quite fun and I enjoyed talking with Kaze, flirting with Tatsuo and Raver J who is a Chinese boy who just can't seem to keep his clothes on. Seriously, he's running around the place shirtless, his tall lanky body all proudly on display, and his athletic pants all slipping off his waistline. He has such a delicate delicious ass too. And you know the front part is quite nice too, if interestingly a bit like him overall -- long and skinny.
When the lights came on, a guy visiting from Europe was asking for directions to The Body Shop. I told him that I could drive him if he wanted. I was angling for some cash or maybe some sex you know? I drove him up there and instead he paid for my way into the place. Gah! I could have likely gotten in free anyway considering I used to work there and still on occasion work at Heretic, but anyway. It was cool and I was glad to have had another hour or so dancing and listening to DJ Yoshi Bear who is quite good.
It was a very nice night out. A great reward for all the difficulties I'd been going through with work and then the site falling all over itself like sumo wrestlers in a vat of Crisco.Labels: alcohol, boys, clubbing, DJ Kaze and Tatsuo, Heretic, pixiesticks, The Body Shop

LOL. Islam.
TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iranian police detained more than 200 people and seized alcohol and drugs in a raid on a "satanic" underground rock concert, media in the conservative Islamic state reported on Saturday.
Iran, which has launched an annual summer crackdown on "immoral behavior", bans alcohol, narcotics and parties with unrelated men and women dancing, drinking and mixing. Western popular music is frowned upon.
The police operation took place on Wednesday night in the town of Karaj near the capital Tehran, at an event with local disc jockeys, rock and rap groups performing, the media said.
"Most of those arrested are wealthy young people ... who came to this party with the goal of attending a provocative, satanic concert," daily Tehran-e Emrouz quoted a senior police official, Reza Zarei, as saying.
Karaj's public prosecutor, Ali Farhadi, said invitations had been sent out via the Internet and that people from Britain and Sweden were among those held. Zarei suggested they were expatriate Iranians visiting the country.
Farhadi said 150 bottles of alcoholic drinks, 800 "obscene" CDs and different kinds of drugs had been confiscated by police, as well as "inappropriate" dresses that those behind the event were giving to female guests as gifts.
"Some 230 people who attended a rock party in Karaj were identified and arrested," Farhadi said on the Web site of Iran's state broadcaster.
He said 20 video cameras had also been seized and that the organizers had planned to blackmail girls after filming "inappropriate and obscene" videos of them.
Under sharia, Islamic law, imposed after Iran's 1979 revolution, women are obliged to cover their hair and wear long, loose clothing to disguise their figures and protect their modesty. Violators can receive lashes, fines or imprisonment.Labels: alcohol, clubbing, drugs, international news, music, religious news

I suck or I rule.
Last night Colin, Elf, and I ended up watching two bad flicks. One of them was called Gamebox 1.0 which was yet another direct to DVD gamer inspired movies. Oh, you have to get your hands on it, because it's so so bad.
Anyway, between the three of us, we polished off an entire bottle of Kahlua and an entire bottle of Stoli Rassberry Vodka. But here's the suck/rule part. At one point, I had Elf in handcuffs. This was after he used some duct tape and pulled off a nice swath of my arm hair. So you see why I needed to exact revenge!
And with him in handcuffs, I still didn't take advantage of the uke! I mean, a little poking and prodding tickling and groping of the ass. But I mean, with someone in handcuffs, and having had alcohol, there could have been some real deliciousness to be had!
So either I suck because I didn't do much of anything. Or I rule because even when presented with such overwelming possibility, I respected my dearest Elf.
God I'm such a fucking loser.Labels: alcohol, colin, Elf, movies, personal, trap
